Nintendo has sent out e-mails to Club Nintendo members detailing the prizes rewarded for obedience subscription and use. Fans who have amassed enough digital coins to unlock Platinum Status have two options available once they log into the Club Nintendo website: Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! or a Mario Hat. Doc Lous's Punch-Out!! is a one versus one battle, with players stepping into Little Mac's shoes and going toe-to-toe with the boxer's coach and mentor, Doc Louis. It's only available as a prize and won't be offered anywhere else, so this is the last time to get it. The Mario Hat is a Mario hat. I think the choice is clear.

Couldn't get enough points in time for Platinum Status? That's fine, Nintendo plans on rewarding Gold Members as well, albeit with a much less impressive gift. Well, comparatively.



The Club Nintendo Original Calender - 2010! Wow. From the looks of it, each page has a different Nintendo Wii game, with Animal Crossing and Wii Music listed. It's a step down, but that's not saying a lot. Compared to recent Japanese Club Nintendo prizes (controllers, games, statues)  these leave much to be desired. The hat is nice and all (and ordered) but looks like something I'd pick up at the Nintendo World Store for a few bucks.
