First, Criterion told us we would be getting Legendary Cars, and we were all like, “buhh?” Then, they showed that it would be followed by Toy Cars, and everyone was being all “whaaa?” Now, they are ready to tease the next downloadable pack for Burnout Paradise… The Carson Extreme Hotrod?

The next batch of DLC will be two hotrods – supped up speedsters that are faster than anything else in Paradise. For anyone who has played the game this might sound sort of strange, since the fastest cars are nearly impossible to drive. Well, Criterion has a solution for that, and promises that the two new cars in the Paradise Boost Specials Pack will handle better and drift more realistically due to changes they have made to the engine.

No, not the car engine, the game engine, silly!

It’ll be out in 2009, so be prepared to go really, really, really fast in a game that, until recently, had just been really, really fast. Any predictions for next week’s announcement?
