Following the Battlefield: Bad Company 2's release date announcement at GamesCom, EA has also confirmed Dante's Inferno's launch will take place on February 9th, 2010 in America, with a European version finding its way to the shores a few days later.

Again, it's great to see EA embracing the full calender for their titles. Dante's Inferno looks deeper and more interesting every time more news is announced, and this press conference is no different. They've given the game a morality system of sorts, allowing Dante to either free Hell's souls or damn them. Each will power different weapons, and lead to slightly different play styles. It might seem a bit unnecessary, but it's something deeper than a typical hack-and-slash, giving it a few more steps away from the God of War comparisons. God knows it needs some space.
