Dead Space 2 Likely Not PC-Bound

I'll Never Get it On Steam for $5 Now!

In EA's 2010 financial report, the publisher went over a large number of titles that would be released in the upcoming year or two. On the list was Dead Space 2. Not on the list was a PC version of Dead Space 2. As you can expect, people were confused, sad, and angry. For those who don't know, the first game was released on the PC, which should mean that the sequel will follow in suit, right? Wrong, says, EA, who commented later that "as of right now a PC sku is not in the plan." Well, that's a kick in the mouse and keyboard, isn't it?

What is in the plan? A lot of other games, which you can see if you click the link above. I can't say that this news is shocking, though it also isn't definite. Plenty of games don't have PC releases "in the plan" at launch, but being released down the line is an easy way to make some money. If the game does well, port away. If not, keep it on consoles. I have a feeling Dead Space 2 will do fairly well, so PC users shouldn't worry too much. ...as long as some of the people who bought the original used pick the new one up new. The first was killed by second-hand sales. Either way, I wouldn't expect to see the release coming at the same time.
