EA Adds Spore, WAR, and More to Steam
DRM Haters Can Now Enjoy Some Spore
by Coop

Today is a great day for PC gaming. Valve has struck a monumental deal, bringing a huge chunk of EA's catalog into Steam for purchase. Steam has been, for many people, the definitive PC gaming source, offering gamers the ability to buy, launch, and store games through one HUB, without the hassles of draconian DRM.
Several EA titles have already been available through the service, but this brings some of the larger ones, such as Mass Effect, Spore, and Warhammer Online. This is likely in response to the news last week, showing that games with SecuROM were some of the most pirated, regardless of the security placed upon them.
Hopefully this will help cut down on those numbers, and give PC gamers a reason to keep enjoying their games the old fashioned way.
Here's the press release:

Finally, a good enough reason to download Steam.
Good move by EA, I guess they realize that SecuROM is not the answer to avoid piracy.
