Eternity's Child to be WiiWare
With a Q2 Release
by Coop

I, like everyone else in the gaming world, am skeptical of WiiWare. Nintendo’s take on the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Store is supposedly going to start rolling out cheap gaming in the next few months and while plenty of developers have signed on, little had been shown. I want it to succeed, because paying a few bucks for a flash game that uses the Wii’s unique features is five dollars well spent. If these screenshots are an indication of how the games will generally look you can color me interested.
The game is Eternity’s Child and while it actually started as an XBL title, we can expect to be playing it in the next few months for only five dollars. Oddly enough, the reason that the games developer, Luc Benard, strayed away from XBL was the stringent file size rules. Word is that the Wii is even stricter about the size of files going into WiiWare, so I don’t understand his argument. I can’t say I am upset, though, since the game looks awesome.
You can read an interview with the developer here to find out exactly what this game is going to be about.

I am not skeptical about WiiWare... I'm more skeptical about Nintendo's ability to get actual third-party developers to design for the Wii...
