Fallout 3 Cleared for Release in Australia
Women to No Longer Glow, Men’s Plundering Censored
by Coop
Word from Australia is that Fallout 3 has been cleared for release after edits made by Bethesda (namely removing the phrase "Damned Crocodile Dundee!" from the game's ending cinematic). A month or so ago the game was banned from the country due to it's graphic content in a case reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto IV's, but the appropriate changes have been made and the game is back on track for...whenever the hell the game is actually going to come out in Australia.
Australia is becoming one of the world's strictest countries when it comes to game censorship. So far, Dark Sector is still banned from release and a game isn’t able to even be classified by their rating board unless it is appropriate for 15 year olds. Red Ant, who is handling the local distribution for the game in Australia, has not commented on exactly what the changes were, but I'm sure we will hear more on it in the coming months. Stay tuned.
