First 45 Rock Band Songs Announced

And the Man in the Back Said Everyone Attack...

by Coop

IGN has been kind enough to post the first 45 songs to be rockable in Rock Band when it releases in a little less than one month. There are still several that will ship with the game that are, as of yet, unannounced. This list also doesn't include any of the downloadable content that will stream out each and every week post launch.

If any of you remember, Guitar Hero II made a similar promise back when it was first announced for the Xbox360 and I believe a quote stating that it would have "the most downloadable content" may have come up.  Several months later we are up to a bunch of songs from the original Guitar Hero and maybe a few originals. I don't know, personally, I have been busy not paying $3 a pop for songs I could just get in the original.

What do you think of the songs? Lets get a little thing going here; list your most anticipated song (limit one) from each generation.  I'll go: Gimme Shelter, Ballroom Blitz, Should I Stay or Should I Go, Sabotage, Are You Gonna Be My Girl.

@Gorthus: I was mainly posting it because this is the first confirmation of it, seeing as even Wikipedia sources the same IGN article that I did - dated only days ago.

Only one favorite song from each decade? No way, I can't choose between the Ramones and David Bowie. It is a really awesome line-up though, I can't wait.

You are all missing the song of them all... Molly Hatchet's "Flirting with Disaster". I have the original record hanging in my living room. Frank Frazetta made me believe these guys were badasses. The song confirms it. I will sing. Play drums. Play bass and guitar. All at once. Just for this one song.
