First Beatles: Rock Band Footage Debuts at Concert

I Look at all the CG Beatles...

by Coop

Sir Paul McCartney's Friday performance at the Coachella is getting more press than usual. It appears, at several times during the show, that the typical array of psychedelic colors playing behind Sir Paul's head is replaced with what appears to be footage from The Beatles: Rock Band. The videos are all fairly low quality, but it certainly does look like the members of the Beatles in a Rock Band setting getting their jam on.

There's another video below.

This one picks up at around 1:20, showing some more shots of the game. There's really not much to say, here. The footage is cut up pretty tight and don't show any actual gameplay, and is likely very, very early footage. In fact, it looks like it might actually just be the Fab Four recreated in Rock Band 2, didn't they have all of the Beatles costumes unlockable anyway?

Paul's website has already been updated with the following quote:

"It was a night of high emotion, the anniversary of losing Linda, memories of George and John and Liverpool youth, it was a night of conquering a whole new crowd, it was a night of firsts and was the unexpected, unannounced world premiere of the images from the coming Beatle Rock Band game which played on vast screens throughout Got To Get You Into My Life."

I'd expect to hear more soon, because Harmonix loves talking up their games, and getting some clips to play behind Paul McCartney's concert is a fairly big deal.
