Further Proof of Aliens RPG Cancellation Revealed
Ex-Obsidian Staffer Looking for New Job
by Coop

UPDATE: We've received the typical "Sega doesn't comment on rumors." Oh well, we tried.
David Kondor was one of the designers for the Aliens RPG. No, not Aliens: Colonial Marines, that's still in development hell. This is the Aliens RPG you hadn't heard much about, the third-person game being developed for PCs and next-gen consoles by Obsidian. I speak in the past tense above because the rumors of the game's cancellation have finally come to a head, and if Kondor's Linkedin page is to be believed the game is now super, super canceled. Well, still "unofficially" canceled, but pretty damn close.
In his past, Kondor lists "Designer for canceled third-person action Aliens RPG (Xbox 360, PS3, & PC)." I'm not sure about you, but that certainly sounds like the Aliens RPG in question - but we can't be too sure. There's still no confirmation from SEGA, the supposed publisher of the title, but with employees being let go and looking for new positions it shouldn't be too long until the levee of information breaks.
We've contacted Sega for information and are eagerly awaiting a response.
