Gazillion Entertainment Inks Ten Year Marvel Deal
Hulk Smash Puny Lego Developer!
by Coop

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that upstart company and developer of Lego Universe, Gazillion Entertainment, has penned a 10-year deal with Marvel to develop massive multiplayer online games on their properties. It allows them exclusive rights to create MMOs based on their characters, which means, in short, Marvel is preparing to sue Sony Online and Cryptic for people creating The Hulk in DC Universe Online and Champions Online. Or at least that's how I'm choosing to see this.
That's all there is so far, but there's supposed to be more announced tomorrow. Anyone care to speculate? It's too late in the generation for anyone to begin work on an MMO for the near future, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Marvel Online is being reborn. I just can't wait untill the awkward conversation it has with its parents about its half brother Champions Online.
"Mommy, why does my brother's box say Cryptic on it?"

I'll be counting down the days until Marvel walks away from this deal like they did their deal with Cryptic.
I'm right there with you, Luke. Right there with you!
