Pwn or Die has posted some comparison screenshots of the remade Gears of War levels, which come as free DLC in Gears of War 2 as the "Flashback Map Pack," showing how the Unreal Engine 3.5 has improved the already fantastic looking title. Many of them are somewhat unfair comparisons, as the levels take place either during different times of the day or, as with the case of Canals, during a different time of the year, but it’s interesting nevertheless in anticipation for Gears 2. I find them very interesting, and wonder how Gears of War 2 will stack up against the other beautiful titles this week. I just finished up with Dead Space, and think that the graphics look leaps and bounds above anything else this generation, so Gears 2 has a lot of proving to do to take back the crown it wore for several years.
