Fears that the multiplayer portion of Ghostbusters was chopped off as a sacrifice to the gods of a timely release be appeased: there is finally official (maybe) information on Ghostbusters: The Video Game's multiplayer. Kombo has the scoop detailing the full multiplayer overview, which supports several different game modes. We haven't been able to get 100% confirmation that their list is indeed legit, but it sure looks it.
Naturally, the developers have included cooperative play of some of the singleplayer missions, but they did not stop there. Several other modes are also featured, and detailed below.
MULTIPLAYER ON PS3, Xbox 360 & PC
MULTIPLAYER OVERVIEW:
Teamwork is what being a Ghostbuster is all about so Terminal Reality have worked with Three Wave Software, a triple-A multiplayer developer, to create an exciting and original multiplayer component in Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
Offering gamers the unique opportunity to play as one of the four original Ghostbusters, an option not available in the single player game, the multiplayer is a fast-paced, co-operative experience. Taking place on an average phantom-packed day for the Ghostbusters team, players will work together to contain supernatural phenomena around the city while competing to earn the biggest pay check.
MULTIPLAYER FEATURES:
Unique Multiplayer Features:
12 maps across 4 themed environments:
Six Unique Job Types:
Online Multiplayer Features:
That's... a huge list of features. I don't even know where to start with it, because they have completely overwelmed me with information. I mean, Unique Job Types? Most Wanted Ghosts? They've gone above and beyond the typical game, though I don't think anything could replace a full, four player cooperative version of the singleplayer campaign. I suppose this is better than that, in a way, and there are still co-op modes, but I don't know...
What does everyone else think about the list?

In a perfect world, the multiplayer would be made by Valve and it would play like a hilarious Left4Dead with proton packs.
