As expected, rumored, and discussed, the "Keep it Clean" trailer was elaborated on during the Microsoft Presser at the Tokyo Game Show. After the destruction of New Mombosa, a pod smashed into the ground. A time lapse is shown, and out of the pod steps a USNC ODST Marine. As we thought, it is a prequel, bridging the gap between Halo 2 and Halo 3, starring a new hero who is very much so not Master Chief. The game will be called Halo 3 Recon.

It will be its own title, not DLC or an expansion. The trailer is online now, and above, and on XBL, and if it weren't 1AM I might start picking it apart.  There are some interesting parts, though, that I did notice. For instance, it appears that the ODST Helmets have a feature similar to the UI in Ghost Recon, showing silhouettes of enemies in the distance. That would lend to the idea that this will be a more tactical Halo experience. It appears that the Superintendent will play a role in the game similar to Cortana's, and is already giving orders to the new hero by hacking into signs across the destroyed New Mombosa. Very, very cool.

Its due out in Fall of 2009, ready to drop?
