Heavy Rain Tops UK Charts
Sony's Gamble Paying Off
by Coop

We loved Heavy Rain. We really did. What we didn't know, however, is how the rest of the world would respond to Quantic Dream's risky endeavor. If the UK game charts are to be believed, and I'd have a hard time explaining why they aren't (besides, obvious, screw the bloody redcoats), it seems people are willing to give the game a chance. Droves of them, in fact, as it's currently a best seller in the country, beating out Aliens vs. Predator and Just Dance. This is big news, for as we all know, Just Dance is the National Anthem of the UK, and their government is run by both Aliens and Predators.
This is big news for both Quantic Dream and Sony. I eagerly anticipate hearing how the game sells in the US as well, since even when compared to the UK, the States are known for putting FPS over just about every other genre, especially Heavy Rain's "swing the remote and do stuff with a deep plot" genre. Not only that, but the Xbox 360 has more of a foothold over here than it does over there, which is another hurdle to jump. Hopefully the jump will be made as easily, like a swing upward with the PlayStation 3 controller. You know, like you do in Heavy Rain. Get it?

Awesome, hope it sells well in North America too.
Nice. Can't wait to play it, even though I'm going to have to wait to play it.
