E3 has come and gone. And although this year's show was (by design) much smaller, most of the large companies stayed true to form and made their year's biggest announcements there. But with the decline of huge gaming conventions, smaller developers are looking for other venues to do show the public their wares.
One of the homes they have found is at Comic Conventions. As gaming conferences have shrunk, comic shows are growing each and every year. They are so much more than what they used to be, and game companies see that. And with Comic-con, the biggest comic convention in the world, getting ready to kick off later this week in San Diego, the rumor mill is hard at work. The juiciest in our opinion is the one coming from Ubisoft. Word is that Ubisoft will announce, at Comic-con, a game based on the hit NBC show
Heroes.
Although I know many will be excited just by the prospect, I have to wonder: What the hell will you do in this game? It would be hard to base it around the actual plot of the show because of the niche powers of all of the heroes. Will you play the invincible cheerleader, who actually didn't really do anything productive with her powers or the super strong woman without any control over her strength? As we are fans of the show, we will look forward to whatever Ubisoft has to offer. But I just wonder...

I don't care what this game is: RPG, shooter, side-scroller... I will buy it, I will play it, and it will be great.
At this point I shall stick my fingers in my ears and hum "LALALALALA" so that I don't have to hear nay-saying.
Who cares about the point of the game. The point is to have fun. Hopefully you will be able to pick which Hero and which super power and go from there.
How much fun would it be to have a super power!
