Impressive Conduit Trailer Impresses
Flashy Graphics Included
by Coop
Sega has released a new trailer for their Wii shooter, The Conduit, which hopes to disprove the rumor that the Wii is, indeed, two Gamecubes taped together. So far, they are doing an admirable job, and the footage should go a long way toward convincing gamers that it isn't that the Wii isn't powerful, just that developers are being incredibly lazy.
I'm not too sure I give a crap about the plot, though. Call me crazy, but the weapons, aliens, and story seem to be the most cliched aspects of the title. Then again, the original Halo didn't have much going for it in the narrative department, so it shouldn't hold back The Conduit too much. After getting my hands on the title at the New York Comic Con I don't think they'll have any trouble getting people to call the game the Wii's definitive first-person-shooter, mainly because it's biggest competition is Red Steel. Sit down, fanboys, Metroid is a First-Person Adventure. Put down the morphballs.
I'll be there, Wiimote in hand and Wii-Speak in...erm...mouth. What about you?

Graphics aside (although they look better than expected), the controls will make or break this game.
I wouldn't fret about controls; if they're bad, it's your own damn fault, 'cause you can customize every last bit of them.
