Spiderman vs. Marvel Zombies has been…uh…leaked? Revealed? I am not sure what the hacked information from internet polling website Intellisponse counts as. Either way, Activision is working on a title that gives players control of Spiderman as he fights off his former allies, who have been transformed into flesh eating zombies. The write-up says that the game takes place in 2149 and features a free-roaming New York City, torn apart by the abovementioned living dead.
Even if the series wasn’t hugely popular with every comic fan, I could see the game being fantastic if pulled off, since it would give the developers the opportunity to throw huge, epic battles against Spidey while not taking anything to serious. Iron Man is a zombified torso, for crying out loud, how can the game not be funny? Obviously there is no word yet on whether or not Ash from Evil Dead will be involved, as he was in the comic book version of this alternative universe story, but I assume that the chainsaw-handed zombie-slayer will be involved in one way or another.

wow...this could either be a really hilarious and fun game, or it could be a complete and epic fail. i think i'll reserve my judgment until i learn more about the game....

I, personally, loved the Marvel Zombies comics. Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness was amazing. If they can pull this off and somehow get Ash in there, I know where my $60 is going.
