Jamie Foxx Playing Lynch in Kane & Lynch Movie?
Yeah. Wait, What?

This is... an odd one. Shacknews is reporting that Kyle Ward, the screenwriter for the upcoming film-adaptation of Kane & Lynch, has confirmed that a second name has been signed to the script alongside Bruce Willis'. Early rumors pointing Billy Bob Thorton to the role have apparently fallen through, and Jamie Foxx has officially signed on to play the medicated psychopath Lynch to Willis's Kane for the feature film.
"Done deal... Jamie Foxx is in," Ward wrote, before deleting his Tweet and a follow-up that confirmed that he was, indeed, talking about Foxx playing Lynch. It's an incredibly strange choice considering the character's physical appearance, but Foxx's acting chops might actually be a good fit for the character. First and foremost, Lynch is supposed to be a psychopath - that's his main characteristic - the color of his skin really doesn't matter. As long as Foxx can pull that off, there's a good chance that he can do the character justice. That's not to say that Thorton wouldn't have been better, as it seems the role was basically written for him, but I'm going to remain optimistic. Hell, the story from the original title should make a better film than it did a game, so it should at least be interesting to see how it all plays out.
I mean, it's better than Will Smith playing Jim West, right? Right? Oh boy, this is going to get weird.

The Last Boyscout was one of my favorite action movies. Bruce Willis should do a buddy cop movie with EVERY cast member of In Living Color.
@ Karoshi Agreed! Who's next, Jim Carrey or David Alan Grier?
T'keyah Crystal Keymáh & Bruce Willis as a sassy, single-mother parking authority officer and a down-on-his-luck former-boxer turned city comptroller exposing civil corruption with wacky hijinks and a high-speed chase!
huh... didn't see that one coming.
p.s. i've had that damn wild wild west song stuck in my head all day thanks to you.
Interesting pair up.
