Kane & Lynch: Dog Days Teaser Goes Heavy on Drama

Lynchie, Should We All Go Out to Dinner?

by Coop

Review controversy aside, Kane & Lynch was an entertaining game, going on to sell over a million copies and laying a great foundation for a dark, gritty crime series. When the collective gaming industry turned against it after some PR missteps, it was feared that the developer would abandon the title in hopes of preventing future hatred from those who damned the original. Luckily, that doesn't appear to be the case. Today, Square-Enix-Eidos has unveiled the first official teaser for Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days that isn't completely filled with nudity. I mean, there's some, but, well, you should watch it anyway. Regardless of your opinions on the first game, I'd recommend giving this video a shot. This is how you do a teaser trailer.

If you've played the first, you'll notice that this video actually doesn't make much sense. It would appear that Kane is still neck-deep in crime while Lynch has become... a normal guy. He's still medicated, as the video is sure to point out, but he seems to have married. The wife obviously doesn't know about his past (or the fact that he killed his last wife with a hammer), and I'm totally getting some Bruce Willis from Pulp Fiction vibes from him and her. I'm really, really excited for this game, and with online cooperative play, a perspective shift to Lynch, and a few years to learn from mistakes, I'm confident that IO can do something special this time.

I didn't turn against the first game because of PR missteps, I turned against it because it was only a meh game with meh gameplay. I am, however, excited for this.

    well that's oddly unspecific.

They better revamp the aiming system though. Only game I've ever given up on because the controls sucked.
