In a press release from G4 (huh?), it has been confirmed that Killzone 2 will come out on February 27th, 2009 - a Friday. Sony assures that PAL regions will soon follow, which means we’re less than three full months from the game finally being out. This is huge news for PS3 owners and Sony fans. Early reports from the game were…bad, but recent preview sessions have left players extremely optimistic, and the fears that Killzone 2 would be the bomb of the generation look to be fading into the background.

It's also just over a week after Grand Theft Auto IV's Xbox 360 DLC - Lost and Damned. Originally, rumors placed them on the same date, but it looks like the game was pushed back to a slightly more, erm, opportunistic time.

Aside from a bunch of random Capcom releases, it looks like February belongs to Killzone…and my birthday.
