I don't want to say that it looks like Valve is selling out or anything, but I'm not sure I would have believed in 2003 that the people who made Half-Life would co-create a Gamestop commercial. It just doesn't seem... Valve. Luckily, though it doesn't hold a candle to the leaked trailer from last week (which brewed by hetromancrush on Ellis), the commercial happens to rock hard, so I think they can be forgiven for throwing their hat into the corporate arena.

Reservations with Gamestop get a baseball bat. Not a big deal, sure, but here's my question: where will you get it? Will you start with it? Can you drop it? Can you get it back? I'm really confused how a game that focuses on finding weapons laying around can gift one for picking up the game at a specific retailer, and I'm interested to see how it plays out.

We'll know pretty soon, since the game is only weeks away. A lot of weeks, yeah, but still weeks.
