The concept of adding water to LittleBigPlanet is pretty exciting. Already, millions of gamers have grabbed the title and made awesome levels. With each minor update, the amount of potential content for the game increases tenfold. With a large update, well...

Yeah, water is cool, but imagine how many glitches it might add to LittleBigPlanet. Boats will clip through things, objects won't react right, it could be a mess. In order to fix this before it becomes an issue, Media Molecule has opened up a beta, which can be signed up for here.
Beta? Not entirely new. Beta for a feature? That's forward thinking. I'm all for this kind of thing in the future, because there's nothing worse than anticipating a huge update only to be met with something wholly broken. It happens way too frequently, and might help cut down on the amount of glitches when huge updates go live. Sign up, and you could always send me the beta code if you decide not to do it.
