A few weeks ago I was sent the LoSt-CaUzE Gaming Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation by Ableplanet. I was in the market for some nice headphones since my horribly deformed and disfigured ears refuse to accept ear buds for long stretches of time, so when I was asked to try these out I jumped, nay, dove, at the chance.

I have never owned noise cancellation headphones but I have envied those who have. The concept of being able to listen to music or games while being talked to or complained at has been something that manifests itself deep in my dreams. After using the LoSt-CaUzE Gaming Headphones I realized it was all I had hoped for.

They fit comfortably over the entire ear like a cup of sound. The top stretches out to fit nearly any sized head and they just look damn cool. I tried them with several different audio devices to see how well they worked.

First with my ipod, which delivered better sound then my previous headphones. Next with my new Zune (roxor!), which delivered great audio with both my music and videos. Then with my PC, and after using these for TF2 there is no way in hell I can go back to speakers. The immersion is amazing and the noise cancellation beats out the sound of both my Xbox360 and my PC – an important fact for all of the PC gamers out there.

Because of using noise cancellation, the headphones require 2 AAA batteries (included with the purchase, though if you are spending $150 for headphones the extra four bucks aren’t going to kill you). I was worried at first because of the use I planned on getting out of them. After 2 weeks of heavy use (a few hours a day) the light still lights up when I hit the switch and they are still acting perfectly. And not to sound like a fanboy of the product, but they made me play better. I could hear footsteps in games of enemies walking up to me and I could hear where bullets were coming from.

These are truly great gaming headphones with little fault in that execution. The only problem I had was in the lack of a microphone. If these were made for true and blue PC gaming like advertised there should have been some type of attachment to let a microphone (even a clip on) be part of the configuration.

With a nice carrying case and a few attachments to make sure they will plug into whatever the hell you want to listen to, the LoSt-CaUzE Gaming Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation are a great purchase for $150.

Tell me Mr. Gorthus, have you heard the LC Head Phones. I did and find them much better than the Bose at any price. A side by side test revealed a much smoother sound quality at the low end without compromising your ears with volume. As a music listener and gamer myself I find the LC Head Phone on par with Bose.
