Mega Man 10 Announced for WiiWare

Mega Man fans rejoice! Nintendo power has made the surprising announcement that Capcom is developing Mega Man 10 for WiiWare. Apparently, the release of 9 was popular enough that the developer has opted to stick with their digital distribution platform and art style, which should make fans of the last platformer very happy. This time around, players will be able to play as three characters: Mega Man, Proto Man, and a third, as-of-yet unannounced character. I'm not really all that up to date on my Mega Man, but if I had to guess I'd say that it was likely going to be Dr. Robotnik. Keep that on the down-low, though, I don't want them knowing I blew up their big secret. Shhhh.
Beyond that, there's confirmation of an easier mode and a new enemy: Sheep Man. He's a man, but he's also a sheep, it's really awesome. All right, it's actually incredibly silly, but I'm not about to complain about nonsense in Mega Man, I just want it to rock. If Capcom's last attempt at the series was any indication, rocking is just what it will do. There's still no release date (or confirmation of multiple console releases, for that matter), but I'd expect to hear more soon. It might actually be revealed when this issue of Nintendo Power comes out, who knows?
