Metal Gear Solid 5 to Star Big Boss?
Boss? Boooossssssss!!!

Metal Gear Solid 4 was supposed to be the end of the Metal Gear Solid series, but that doesn’t mean that the Metal Gear series is over. During an interview with 1UP, MGS4 assistant producer Ryan Payton discussed the possibilities of a sequel
“There are some misunderstandings that this is the final Metal Gear game. But it’s really the final chapter of the Solid Snake story. That’s all.”
When asked for more details, he elaborated that there was “still a lot of room for filling in the gaps as far as Big Boss is concerned.”
So, there it is, while Metal Gear Solid 4 was the end of Solid Snake’s story, Metal Gear Solid 5 will likely put you in the shoes of someone who looks, sounds, and acts exactly like him. I see this as a sort of copout – the story of Solid Snake and the entire bloodline has been covered, ad nausem, over the course of the past two decades.
We’ve been everywhere we want to go with it, and any sequel or “prequel” to the story in MGS4 will do little more than tarnish the legacy. I would much prefer Kojima bumps the story a good 30 years into the future and shows the after effects, hopefully with someone whose codename doesn’t have Snake in it.

I really hope that, if they do do this, it's finally going to give a liable reason as to why Big Boss went bad before the original Metal Gear.
