If Black Friday and Cyber Monday weren't enough, Microsoft has announced plans to have a weekly sale on Xbox Live, starting with the Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack. Starting tomorrow, the normally 600 pack will be only 400, giving gamers a reason to jump back into their Spartan helmets.

They haven’t said at all what the deal will entail; only that it’s available for all regions and for Gold Members only. Hopefully it will extend to the Xbox Live Arcade so Braid can get a well-deserved price drop – bringing it to a level where casual gamers might find it wise to purchase the best downloadable title in ever years. That’s right, ever years.

Each sale will be announced on Monday and enacted on Tuesday, and the whole thing will run throughout the month of December. Xbox Live's Black Friday sales were fairly weak (Premium Themes still cost money!), so hopefully these will impress.
