Moments ago, Major Nelson tweeted the following: "This Spring, the first Modern Warfare 2 content packs will be available exclusively first on Xbox LIVE." His announcement mirrors one during the Microsoft Keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show, which has, as of yet, had all attention turned to 3D key-chains and HD wallet covers. Needless to say, with all of the leaks that have taken place today, the fact that this wasn't spilled onto the internet is a pleasant surprise, since everyone figured that Microsoft's keynote was already out of reveals a few hours before it started.

In fact, the existence of said DLC isn't really a shocker by any means. In fact, I'd be on the floor gripping my chest if Activision didn't release downloadable content for the largest entertainment release of all time. What is shocking, however, is the fact that it's exclusive to the Xbox 360, even if it is only for a little bit. Then again, given the lack of information we have, "first on Xbox LIVE" could mean by a day, or, hell, a few hours. Either way, I doubt anyone will be complaining when Infinity Ward releases more to do in Modern Warfare 2. Maybe it means we won't need to play the damn snow levels any more. Dear god, do I hate the snow levels.
