*UPDATE* Modern Warfare 2 Gets "Prestige Edition"
Makes Halo's Legendary Edition Look Standard
by Coop

UPDATE: $150 price point is official.
Refusing to be outdone by Batman: Arkham Asylum's insane Special Edition offerings, Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Prestige Edition. It comes with the game, an art book, a voucher for an XBLA/PSN download, a hard case, and night vision goggles. Wait, what?
That's right, the next Call of Duty comes equipped with Night Vision goggles. As far as a price, I'd estimate it hitting the Halo 3: Legendary Edition price-point of $150. Night vision goggles are expensive, but cheap ones (that look a lot like the ones that come with the game) can be purchased for about $70-$80 dollars. Throw in a few dollars for the art book, a quarter for the hard-case, $50 for the game, and a little "Activison Tax" and we're landing there softly.
There's a video of the unboxing below. So... are you buying this? I'm going to say that there's no way in hell I'm going to, but my hand is already reaching towards my wallet and I'm not too sure if I can stop it. Sure, I could buy some real night vision goggles online for cheaper, and there's absolutely no reason I need them any way, but...

This is going to sell about as well as the Halo Legendary Edition. So you should be able to get this for $80 in a year?
I've always wanted night-vision goggles.... I'm going to put my price point ceiling at $120 for this. Anything more, and I'll get it at a yard sale in ten years.
I'll wait for the price drop this time.
Oh! This is the part where 14 year-olds go outside and get hurt by people that they shouldn't know were there.
oooooh fancy edition of a game i like... well there goes $150.... bastards.
wasn't the halo legendary originally $180? pretty sure.
@00.19: I believe it was $130.
Damn, I don't want to spend any extra money on this game, but I also can't resist special editions.
