Modern Warfare Garb Coming to Avatar Marketplace
Digital Money Poorly Spent
by Coop

Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Twitter has taken a break from apologizing to GLAAD, PC users, and people upset by spoilers to take a few shots from the hip at Xbox Live users' wallets. Tomorrow, a batch of COD:MW2-inspired Avatar gear will be made available on Xbox Live, giving gamers a chance to spend a few dollars on digital night vision goggles to match their $150 Collector's Edition COD:MW2 goggles. Well, maybe. So far they've only confirmed that the Ghost Suit, seen above chilling with clothing-inhibited Avatars, will be available.
What else might make the cut? A few helmets? A ghillie suit? Maybe Captain Price's bangin' mustache? Hell, why not a gun? If Microsoft allowed a light saber, I wouldn't be shocked to see some kind of weapon make the cut. I mean, if Avatars are allowed to wield that, an MP5, which is insignificant when compared to the power of the Force, shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm sure that logic held up when they inevitably pitched the idea, and had a table full of Microsoft executives laugh in their faces.
In all honesty, it makes sense to buy all of it. I mean, who are we kidding? Once our hard-earned money becomes Microsoft Points it barely counts anymore - it's like using Monopoly Money, right?
