Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe DLC Teased

In an interview with Major Nelson, Mortal Kombat kreator Ed Boon divulged a little bit of information about the heavily anticipated downloadable content for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. No, they didn't confirm Striker or Mister Mxyzptlk as being in the first batch, but they did explain how it will be handled. In order to appease fans of both series, the packs will be released in pairs, with one character from each side.
Boon refused to go on any further, but that hasn't stopped us from speculating on what characters we would like to see.
Most conspicuously missing from the release on the MK side are Johnny Cage, and Smoke, and we're still wondering why Black Adam and Nightwing didn't make the cut from DC's roster. Hopefully they release this soon, or else I could see the game falling under Street Fighter 4's large, powerful shadow.
