Namco iPhone Games Get a Holiday Sale

Maybe Now They're Better!

by Coop

iPhone games? Not bad. iPhone ports of all non-Popcap games? Usually sort of bad. Developers seem to forget about the whole "lack of buttons" thing until the last moment, and slap on unmanageable touch-screen input. Because of that flaw, it's been easy to justify not picking up games like Mr. Driller and Pac-Man CE on the App Store, since, you know, odds are they aren't very good. With today's Holiday Sale, however, that excuse is out the door. Goodbye, money.

Most of Namco's iPhone games are now on sale, cut in half in most cases. Mr. Driller is now just $1, as is Pac-Man Championship Edition. Sure, the controls most likely suck to the nth degree, but as long as you can get a few minutes of enjoyment it's well worth the dollar. Hell, you spent more than that playing arcade games before Avatar this weekend, and the light guns barely worked. If you threw in a second quarter for that, surely you can afford to pay it towards a game developer this time around.

The full list is below, plan on picking any up?

I got Pac Man CE for a buck. I thought I wasted my money until I couldn't put it down. Swiping your finger works well enough for that game. I'll probably get Pole Position and BurgerTime as well.
