2K has released a trailer for the second DLC pack for Borderlands, entitled Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. While, at first, it seemed like the pack might be light on content, it would appear that there might be a little more than meets the eye. Hell, the producer's description of the game as a Smash TV clone in a Borderlands suit should be enough to get anyone excited? No? Then you have no heart. No heart at all. On top of that, this trailer hints at a plot, too. Take a look and see for yourself.


Call me easily impressed if you must, but I think I'm turning around on Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. My only hope is that they go into the title character's history and bring an interesting story to couple with the arena combat. I mean, they hint that she dated the bus driver, which is shocking enough as is, and deserves to be explained at least a little more. Why did they break up? Did he break her heart? Oh! Maybe the prize for completing the competition is marrying her? Oh, if only...

If The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned wasn't so damn good I wouldn't be nearly as excited for this as I am. If Gearbox decided to save some of the best content for DLC than so be it. I'm not sure I like that choice, but I'll be damned if I'm going to sit at the sidelines while some great shooter action is available. No reason to make a stand, money is free, after all. The DLC pack is due out in January and will cost $10. Anyone else planning on picking this up? I don't think I'll be able to survive without some help, and I promise I won't shoot you in the back of the head if you go to kiss my future wife.
