New Metro 2033 Trailer Reminds You It's Kill or Be Killed
Also, Fear the Light and Future
by Coop
I enjoyed some of the ideas behind Metro 2033 when I played it at an event a few weeks back. Some, but not all. Luckily, the trailer above doesn't appear to display any of the issues I had with the title. It appears, if nothing else, that everyone has more than enough ammunition, and they actually show a number of different enemy types. If the ammunition situation has been taken care of, and there's more enemy variety than I experienced, the problems I had a little while back might not be issues in the final product after all. If that's the case, and it very well might be, then the video above could be showing footage of one of the more interesting FPS experiences to be coming out in 2010. Take a look.
If nothing else, the trailer is pretty awesome. There's good music, good visuals, and unbelievably cliché voiceover. Hell, they even drop a "resistance is futile," and if that doesn't make you chuckle than you might want to have a Star Trek: the Next Generation marathon sometime soon, because your geek license is dangerously close to being revoked.
So, anyone planning on picking this up when it's released? I'd wait for our review, and I'm not just saying that because I want you to come back. It's a game that could, and should, be phenomenal. Now let's see if they have what it takes to make it that good.

They may not have fixed the ammo problem. I was looking around on their website and I found this:

Its a list of the achievements. Take note of the last one. Maybe there will be different ammo types and Military Grade Rounds is just one of them lol.
Looks like it could be good, or it could be Legendary: The Box.
I call Legendary: The Box on this one, Sean.
