New Sonic Unleashed Trailer Misses the Point
Makes Me Forget How Promising It Looked

Hey, remember this? Remember how happy it made us? I do, I stayed up late that night, trying to find a way to get the footage up so Sega couldn’t snap it off of Youtube, because I felt that everyone needed to see it. You see, the first trailer showed the classic sonic gameplay bumped to the new generation in a way that hasn’t been done in nearly ten years. This new trailer, on the other hand, is like a bastardization of all of the hopes we had for Sonic Unleashed.
I feel like I can draw a parallel between the plot of Sonic Unleashed and the story of the game. It appears that, during the night, Sonic the Hedgehog becomes a Werehedgehog, losing control and wandering the city streets. Sonic Unleashed also has two forms. One where gamers are happy, there aren’t humans wandering around kissing Sonic and singing songs, and one where Sonic is a freaking Werehedgehog. Gamervision has a meeting with Sega at E3 next week, and hopefully we can get this mess sorted out because, well, wow.

Why... why would they do this to us? Get our hopes up like that? Do they enjoy shooting us down?
Well, the game play we have seen so far looks good. We still haven't seen any werehedgehog game play. Who knows.....it might be good too. Keep the faith, brother!
I wonder if they'll ever understand that all we want is another Sonic game. A NORMAL one. Where you need to be fast and avoid spikes. Oh, and collecting rings and emeralds could be in there, too. But... well. This isn't what we want. Not by a long shot.
I don't know about this ad campaign. Not sure at all.
