New Starcraft 2 Trailer
Straight From the SC Homeland

If you are like me, you like to think that Blizzard does something other then spend its days counting money (9,000,000 WoW subscribers at about $15 a person, you do the math). To prove that this is indeed the case they have released a new trailer for their “upcoming” real-time-strategy, Starcraft 2. The video is a little on the grainy side because they haven’t yet released a direct-feed version and this one was recorded off a screen in Korea. If you don’t know why they would choose Korea to showcase new footage, I recommend you make a trip to the country and watch one of their television shows dedicated to the game. Korean gamers go batshit crazy for Starcraft, and if they found out that Blizzard showed the US footage of the game before them it would mean Nuclear Winter.
The video showcases the Zerg race, one so popular that the very name has become synonymous with swarm. A sultry voice, which I can only assume is the lovely Kerrigan's, whispers about how their power has grown. I expect to see more of these trailers in the future, not unlike what Valve did (and may still be doing) with the classes in Team Fortress 2. I mean, hell, why stop at one?
The trailer is nice and shows a good amount of gameplay footage. I could go without the CGI in the beginning and end, though. Unless they truly plan on mind-blowing CGI I would rather they stop trying to pretend they are some sort of melancholy-Pixar and get to developing the game so it doesn’t get delayed until 2012.
