Nintendo Made Pedometer Trademarked

While searching through trademarks, a NeoGaf forum member found that Nintendo has recently secured the rights to make a pedometer, pictured above. That’s just about all the information on this device as of now. Pedometers are step counters, like the ones that shipped with My Weight Loss Coach for the Nintendo DS, so this isn't exactly foreign to gaming, just strange. I could see shipping these with an upcoming Wii Balance Board game, giving players even more insight into their virtual workouts.
I also wouldn’t be entire surprised to see Nintendo ship it with a different game, implementing it in for no reason. Maybe the more you walk in any given day, the more Bells your character in Animal Crossing earns by working out. I wouldn’t put it past Nintendo to tie this in to a Zelda, Mario, or something else, but I hope they are smart enough to know how bad of an idea that is. Oh yeah…

I heard Sony just trademarked the word AnalRapist. It will be about Tobias Funke, the world's first Anaylist and Therapist.

Hmm... There might be some interesting things in the works at Nintendo. If they could integrate it somehow with WiiFit, that would be extra incentive to take the Balance Board back out.
And it looks better than 95% of the pedometers out there, IMO. This one looks sleek.
