Operation Flashpoint DLC Coming Soon

In a Matter of Weeks, No Less

by Coop

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
may have only been released just recently, but that doesn't mean Codemasters is ready to let anyone run out of things to do in their hyper-realistic shooter. In an interview with Telegraph, executive producer Sion Lenton was asked if there would be downloadable content available for the game. Usually, everyone asked that question responds with "we're looking at our options," before going into a knee-jerk reaction to defend the amount of content that shipped with their title. This time, however, Sion had something more interesting to say.

"We’ve got some very ambitious plans with DLC – our first pack is coming up in a matter of weeks. We’ll also have title updates coming up because once the game’s out there, we’ll need to get feedback from the people who are playing it, and if need be make a few adjustments and tweaks," he said. He went on to describe that Flashpoint is obviously catered towards being expanded, and said that there would be map packs, weapon packs, and any other packs that fans seem to want. If the community for Dragon Rising is as excitable as they have been for past Operation Flashpoint titles, I'd think that the more they release the more people will buy, no matter what it is. My guess? Tank armor.

Any Flashpoint players out there? We haven't had a chance to jump in here at Gamervision, but we've heard good things. Any DLC you'd like to see?
