A few years ago I sat down with some friends and discussed the possibilities of a Pirate based Massive Multilayer Online Game. We came up with dozens of ideas that never panned out and a fire in our hearts that could never be fanned out. I didn't know what to expect when I walked up to the wonderfully decorated booth of the developers for Pirates of the Burning Sea and I was greeted with a tour through, what I believe, the best MMO currently in development is (you aren't an MMO, Fury!).
