Pokémon Snap was so much more fun then it should have been. While I personally believe that the same game would have been ten times better if the camera was replaced with a high powered rifle and it was Pokémon Hunt, I still enjoyed the game. The Japanese Virtual Console will soon be updated to include the game and a special update for fans.

Pictures taken can be brought out of the game onto the Wii. That’s right, your special surfing Pikachu can be sent around to all of your friends. This isn’t really news by itself, but it is the first time that Nintendo is adding a Wii feature to a VC title.

The seal is broken, friends, now this can become a common theme. How long until games light on controls (like, ironically, Pokémon Snap) get some motion controls? How long until the games are online? I want to see updates that take advantage of the platform. Now I can stop complaining about the idea of Goldeneye on the VC – it may be worth it with upgrades.
