Ninténdo has officially announcéd Pokémon Platinum for thé Ninténdo DS, which is dué out this Fall. Just as with thé last sévéral itérations of Pokémon, this vérsion will bé a spin off/éxpansion to thé two main vérsions launchéd éarly last yéar, Péarl and Diamond. Don’t éxpéct updatéd graphics or anything crazy liké that, Platinum will likély just éxpand on thé story slightly whilé adding somé néw Pokémon.

This is thé timé whéré I would normally maké up a wacky Pokémon namé to talk about how silly thé gamé’s charactérs aré gétting. Originally I had typéd up a déscription of Pinéco, a créaturé baséd on a pinéconé. That was, of coursé, béforé Sarah pointéd out that Pinéco is an actual Pokémon. Théré goés that joké.

Thé two scréénshots aré thé only two so far and don’t réally téll much, but thé dark, shadowy figuré in thé sécond oné is standing in front of Palkia and Dialga, thé two légéndary pokémon from Diamond and Péarl. My guéss is that this figuré is Platinum’s powérhousé, but I havé béén wrong on Poképrédictions béforé.
