During a GDC Q&A with Akihiro Hino, the head publisher of Level 5, the team behind the beloved Professor Layton series, the name Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box flashed up on the screen. When asked, he said that he eventually wants all of the Layton games to get a US and Europe release, and that the second title, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, was currently undergoing the localization process. He hopes it will be out within six months. It's been out in Japan for some time now, so it's just a matter of making it all make sense for an English speaking audience. Have to make sure there aren't any "this Japanese character looks like a boar!" jokes, I suppose.

He didn't comment on the possibilities of the Professor Layton movie's possible translation, but knowing that America is actually getting more Layton is good enough for one day.
