A NeoGaf poster located in Shreveport, Louisiana, a popular hot spot for filming movies, has snapped an image of a large billboard put up for the 2011 alien invasion movie, Battle: Los Angeles. Apparently Sony is using the film to promote Insomniac's own invasion series Resistance. The image above sports a logo for Resistance 3, which will apparently/possibly be announced by the time this movie hits theaters.

Though it might not seem it, several things can be discerned from the billboard. First of all, the PlayStation 3 logo is in the top left, so it's going to be on Sony's next-gen console. Secondly, the Statue of Liberty is in the "A," so it's likely going to take place in New York City. There's an "RP" meaning the game hasn't been rated, and Insomniac's logo is on the bottom left. Lastly, the fact that the film is due in 2011 makes it pretty obvious when they expect the game to be in store shelves.

It's not a huge amount to go on, but hey, the game's not even supposed to be announced yet, so we'll take what we can get. You can check out the original post here, and I'd expect to hear something official soon. Or, you know, at E3 2010.
