What time of the week is it? It's time for another look at a character in Raven Squad. We've met a few so far, but it's time to finally meet the sniper of the group. If you thought the other characters had cliche names you haven't seen anything yet. Why? Because we're finally getting a look at "Shadow." Yeah, I'm completely serious.

I'd be upset if the game was taking itself seriously, but it isn't. It's a bit tounge in cheek, so I'm fine with "Paladin" and "Shadow." Here's hoping that "Slate" and "Rock" are next week's updates. The bio for Shadow is below, as well as a few new images to go with it.

NAME: Joshua Raider
CALL SIGN: Shadow
EXPERTISE: Sniper
HOMETOWN: London, England
AGE: 29
GENDER: Male
TRAITS: Calm, determined, grim and tactical.

ROLE: The commander of the second squad, Joshua is equal in rank with Blackwell, but often lets Blackwell take the lead of both teams. Raider usually handles most of the tactical planning and offers up his experienced advice in almost any situation.

BACKGROUND: Raider comes from a strict military family and his future was determined practically at birth. He graduated from the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy at the age of 19, and soon became the leader of an elite sniper squad. He met with Blackwell during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where Blackwell actually saved his life. However, just as Blackwell saved him, Raider disobeyed orders to save his endangered squad. Both of them were court-martialed, stripped of their ranks and discharged from military service. Although they had become close friends, they parted ways after the military’s decision came down on them. They lost touch for several years…

In the years following his discharge, Raider worked in Los Angeles as a sniper instructor for the SWAT team and later founded a security advisory company. His company quickly rose to become one of the best on the West Coast. Through the normal course of business Raider eventually crossed paths with Blackwell again. As the two become reacquainted, Raider decided to make him a partner in the company. Soon after, they founded a mercenary group together and wound up returning to the battlefield.

PERSONALITY: Raider is naturally extremely calm person and rarely speaks unless it’s necessary. He is determined, thoughtful and a brilliant tactician. It was these traits that led him to the Special Forces in the first place. During battle, he changes into a completely different person as his years of sniper experience come to the surface. It doesn’t matter whom he must kill to achieve his objective, as long as he succeeds. While this makes him one of the best snipers alive, he tries to suppress this part of his personality outside of military action. Only his teammates know what he is like on the battlefield.
