I finally get to use this picture. 

Sarah went out of her way to get everyone’s hopes up when she posted the story about a Resident Evil 0 remake for the Nintendo Wii. I remember running towards her yelling “No! Don’t do it! What if this turns out to be fake!” and she laughed, hitting the big PUBLISH button and scowling at me with a bitter, angry frown. I fell back, defeated, and waited for the announcement I knew was coming as she counted money and killed puppies.

I would have went to Capcom myself to ask them if we would see a stateside release but I was too busy trying to hide the horrors of Sarah from the rest of you. That alone is a full time job. Eurogamer did it for me, thankfully:

"We currently have no plans to bring the Wii version of Resident Evil 0 that you saw in Famitsu yesterday to either US or Europe at this point in time," a spokesperson told Eurogamer. "It will most likely be a Japan-only release."

This news is actually pretty unexpected. Resident Evil 4 sold really well for the Wii and Umbrella Chronicles did better then expected with both critics and gamers. Remaking the old Resident Evil titles to work with the controls of RE4 would be a sure hit for American gamers, and I don’t know why they would keep this from us. I imagine we will see it out sooner or later, despite what they say.
