Happy Sunday everyone! Welcome to "Retro Game Ad Sunday." I think it pretty much speaks for itself, but if not, here's the pitch: we scanned in a bunch of old advertisements from Gamepros, Nintendo Powers, and other magazines of yesteryear. Since they're usually pretty funny and corny, we figured we'd share them with everyone. Why Sunday? Why not!

Remember the 90s? They were awesome. If you wanted to sell a game, television, or cereal, all you needed to do was convince kids that it was gross. Gross sold more than anything, and that's what this Gex ad is banking on. If I remember correctly, Gex sold really well, so apparently 12 year olds that looked at this scan were sold on the game, and went out immediately to grab it for their PlayStation or Sega Saturn. I'm really happy we all made it out of the 90s unscathed, it seems like it was rougher than I remember.

What did everyone do this weekend? All ready for Heavy Rain next week? In many ways, it's a spiritual successor to Gex. Think about it.
