Retro Game Ad Sunday: True Lies
Before Avatar...
by Coop

Happy Sunday everyone! Welcome to a new weekly feature called "Retro Game Ad Sunday." I think it pretty much speaks for itself, but if not, here's the pitch: we scanned in a bunch of old advertisements from Gamepros, Nintendo Powers, and other magazines of yesteryear. Since they're usually pretty funny and corny, we figured we'd share them with everyone. Why Sunday? Why not!
Yes! True Lies! If Avatar is half as good as True Lies I'll be happy.
So how was everyone's weekend? I spent it trying to grind out the games I had to beat before next week. Why? Because next week is the single biggest gaming week of the year, with Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Tony Hawk: Ride, LBP PSP, God of War Collection, and a bunch of other releases. So, yeah, it's going to be busy. What about you?

True Lies, as a movie, had nothing on Last Action Hero. I assume the games are probably equally crappy.
I've been playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii all day, and let me tell you, it really shows you who your true friends are. And who your frienemies are. And who's a no-fun jerk who jumps off a cliff just to spite you.
true lies on the sega genesis was awesome. one of the best top down shooters ever.
Never played the game of the movie, but the movie was amazing.
Good weekend... ended up picking up New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Good times.
