Risk: Factions to Include Classic Risk
Australia Will Be Mine!
by Coop
Well, this makes my day a little better, and if you're a fan of world domination, odds are it will do the same for you. Last week, RISK: Factions was officially announced, with a shiny new press release and promises to take RISK in a new direction. With a quirky new art style and five different "factions," Electronic Arts looks to change around the classic game. More recently, some screenshots were released, showing that they're really going nuts with it, adding a faction of all kitties, which is, obviously, a big departure from the cannons and horseman of the original. That's all well and good, but will it also include the board game we all know and love? The answer is yes, according to EA. Yes, it will.
We don't have too much information past that, such as pricing or a release date. However, now that we know it will include both the original game and this new, strange version, there's no denying that it's a great value. The board game still costs over $20, and while each person playing is going to need to pick it up for XBLA, the prospect of online RISK is too good to pass up.
Be sure to check back in the near future for a full Q&A with the team working on the game, where we will ask a bunch of questions about traditional RISK and barely any on Factions. What? All right, we'll ask them about both, but you better believe we're going to find out everything there is to find out about traditional RISK. If you have anything you want to find out, leave it in the comments, and we'll be sure to get it answered.

great. now all they need to include is a Godstorm option, and they'll have all the money in the world.
With both Risk and Factions this should be a good value. I'll probably get it.
Already was a purchase in my book - maybe I'll buy two now, just because.
