French website DigitalGames.fr has posted that Electronic Arts has confirmed a Mirror’s Edge demo for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network today, September 26th. There are a few problems with that statement, namely that Electronic Arts hasn’t announced it and today isn’t September 26th. Whether or not DigitalGames has gotten a scoop or a time machine (or the time zone difference is bigger than I thought) is yet to be known, but with the game coming out later this year an eventual demo is to be expected. With EA gearing up promotion on different websites I would think that the E3, PAX, and original cityscape demo isn’t far away. Plus, tonight is the PSN update, so make of that what you will.
I loved what I played at PAX, but I hope they show more in the demo. Every time I watch that demo I feel like I should be sending flowers to the widow of a horse, because EA needs to prove to gamers that there is more to Mirror’s Edge than a few white buildings and orange pipes. Then again, those pipes are tiiiiight.

EA: Mirror's Edge Demo won't be released today

Digital Games reports that a demo for Mirror's Edge will be released today on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network, although EA has told Strategy Informer that this story is a result of confusion from a press release that was sent out earlier this month.
"I am afraid this news story is result of confusion in the press release issued earlier this month. The Pre-orders will go live as of tomorrow but the demo will be going live at a later date." said the EA Spokesperson.
Shame, we were hoping this was going to be true.
