Anyone still wondering whether or not 2009 will have enough games to hold us over need look no further than Sega's release list for the first quarter of 2009, which has enough games to excite anyone easily excited by games. Empire: Total War, House of the Dead: Overkill Horror, Madworld, Sonic and the Black Knight, the Conduit, Alpha Protocol, and Aliens: Colonial Marines are all given release windows, as seen below:

I'll definitely pick up a good chunk of the above games, which is more than I can say about SEGA's 2008 release listings. Q1 ends around April or so, which means that, if this list is correct, the next three to four months should be completely filled with high quality titles. The industry is growing in leaps and bounds, it looks like huge games might be finding their way out of the Holiday season more frequently.
